Ending On A High Note

Tonight, we come to the end of the Lord’s instruction on prayer which concludes with the familiar doxology we all have recited since we were children [a doxology simply means an expression of praise]. In Jesus’ teaching, which we have been looking at, He has given us an outline, a model, a pattern of what our prayers should contain. Since Christ has shown us that our Heavenly Father is the focus of real prayer, it only is fitting that He concludes His teaching on prayer with praise; that’s what we find here in the doxology.
