Debt Forgiveness - Part 1

It is interesting & extremely insightful that the Lord in His teaching on prayer moved immediately from “give us our daily bread” to “forgive us our debts.” In fact, if you read too fast or too casually through these 2 short petitions without pausing to reflect on them, you’ll miss the important truths Jesus was teaching. So, before we dive into verse 12, you need to understand that since the petition “give us this day our daily bread” emphasizes our most urgent & fundamental of physical needs, the petition “forgive us our debts” emphasizes our most urgent & fundamental spiritual need.
