The Table of Thanksgiving
As we gather this Thanksgiving week, we are reminded that there is a table far more sacred than any holiday feast. It is the Lord’s Table — the Table of Thanksgiving. In tonight’s special communion message, Pastor Marc Williamson leads us through 1 Corinthians 11 to reflect on the deep gratitude that flows from the cross of Christ.
The Lord’s Table is not just a ritual. It is a call to remember and give thanks for the most precious gifts we have received:
Christ’s Fellowship — We have been welcomed to the table of the Lord. It is a table of eternal relationship, peace, and closeness with our Savior.
Christ’s Forgiveness — The bread and cup remind us of His broken body and shed blood. We are forgiven and cleansed through His perfect sacrifice.
The Christian Family — Communion is a family meal. We gather as one body to reflect the unity Christ secured by His death.
The Church’s Future — Every time we eat and drink, we proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. Our hope is sure and our future is glorious.
Come with a heart of thanksgiving as we partake of this sacred table and remember all that Christ has done for us.
