The Requirement of GOD’s Word - Part 1

     If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, if you have been born again, if you have tasted that the Lord is gracious through salvation, then you are to be a growing Christian. Last week, we learned how that growth (being conformed to the likeness of Christ) is both a sign of spiritual life & also a process that believers are exhorted to contribute to. Just as the natural growth process in our human body is not something we decide to make happen but without question can aid or hinder it, similarly, spiritual growth will occur in true children of GOD, but at the same time we too can aid or hinder our own growth. So, in our first message we discussed the believer’s responsibility in his growth. This morning, we are going to look at the requirement of GOD’s Word for growth.
