The Tragic Step Toward Sodom
Lot didn’t wake up one day in Sodom—he pitched his tent toward it (Gen. 13:12–13). In this message Pastor Marc traces Lot’s slow drift: a small compromise driven by the love of gain, a move nearer to wickedness, and eventually a life inside Sodom that cost him his witness, his wealth, and even his wife (Gen. 19). This sobering narrative stands as God’s warning to believers in every age about worldliness and the high price of “just one step” in the wrong direction.

Message outline:
The Compromise toward Sodom — Lot chooses by sight, not faith (Gen. 13:10–13).
The Conflict in Sodom — Captivity and collateral damage (Gen. 14:11–16).
The Companionship in Sodom — Sitting in the gate; influence reversed (Gen. 19:1).
The Corruption of Sodom — A vexed soul and a warped heart (2 Pet. 2:6–8; Gen. 19:6–8).
The Cost of Sodom — Lost witness, lost wealth, lost wife (Gen. 19:14–26; Gal. 6:7).
Takeaways:
Worldliness rarely rushes—it inches. Guard the small compromises.
Your companions shape your character (Prov. 13:20).
Separation is protection (2 Cor. 6:17).
God’s mercy warns; wise hearts flee when He says flee (Gen. 19:15–17).
