Promises Made, Promises Kept - Part 2

Tonight we continue Abraham and Sarah’s story as the LORD appears with two angels at Mamre. We see the beauty of hospitality, the tenderness of communion with God, the sting of chastening, and the hope of correction—all moving toward God’s faithful promise to give Sarah a son.

“Is any thing too hard for the LORD?” — Genesis 18:14 (KJV)

Message Highlights

Heavenly visitors, humble host: Abraham runs to serve (Gen. 18:1–8; cf. Heb. 13:2; 1 Pet. 4:8–9).

A word for Sarah: God speaks to her personally—“Sarah… shall have a son” (Gen. 18:10).

The chuckle of unbelief: Sarah laughs within (Gen. 18:12), but the LORD hears.

A loving rebuke: Husbands called to strengthen faith at home (Gen. 18:13–14; Eph. 5:25–28).

Truth in love: Sarah’s denial, God’s correction, and grace that does not give up (Gen. 18:15).
