Christ, Our All in All
Ephesians 1 is filled with the staggering spiritual blessings that belong to every believer in Christ. Chosen in Him, redeemed through His blood, forgiven of sin, adopted into God’s family, given an inheritance, and sealed by the Holy Spirit—every one of these blessings is made certain through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In this message, Pastor Marc focuses on Paul’s prayer for believers to have the eyes of their understanding enlightened. Paul rejoiced over their faith in the Lord Jesus and their love for all the saints, but he also prayed that they would grow deeper in their full knowledge of Christ and understand all that they possessed in Him.
This sermon highlights three major realities believers need to grasp: the hope of God’s calling, the exceeding greatness of His power toward those who believe, and the exalted position of the risen Christ over all things. As these truths become real to the heart, they produce holiness, faithfulness, confidence, perseverance, and proper spiritual priorities.
Christ is not a small part of the Christian life. He is the believer’s sufficiency, strength, inheritance, hope, and power. He is truly our all in all.
