From Ruin To Restoration

Nothing can knock you down in life like unexpected tragedy or catastrophic bad news. It can rattle you to the core, overwhelm your emotions, cause your soul to faint, & send you spiraling downward into despair. It might be a tragedy like a health problem, a home destroyed by fire, the death of a loved one, a prodigal child, etc. Then the questions begin to arise: Why did this happen? What is GOD trying to tell me? How am I going to make it through this crisis?

That’s where David is in the opening of chapter 30. David literally finds himself in the midst of disaster & ruin. He’s lost his family. He’s lost his home. He’s lost his possessions. And he’s lost all of these things for his soldiers too.
