What Difference Does the Resurrection Make?

I remember a man that had sat in my office, he had been diagnosed with a terminal disease; I offered him counsel from GOD’s Word to help him face what he was dealing with. One of the truths I tried to share was of the hope we have in Christ because He defeated death. But the man very bluntly replied, “I don’t need Bible verses; I need real help, a real cure, real companionship.” I proceeded to tell the man, who is now dead, that the truths in GOD’s Word are real help for real people in real life; but we must believe it, receive it, act upon it, & hope in it.
