True or False Disciple

Tonight, I want to consider 2 of the Lord’s disciples – Judas & Peter. Specifically, I want to look at Peter’s failure after denying the Lord & contrast it with Judas’ after betraying the Lord. Peter failed the Lord & then genuinely repented & was restored while Judas, overwhelmed with sorrow & regret after his failure, committed suicide & went to hell. GOD has given us an intentional contrast between these 2 disciples (one true & the other false) & their 2 very different types of sorrow to consider. I say that because they are recorded back-to-back for us as an obvious contrast in Matthew’s Gospel.
