It’s possible to grow up with a knowledge of GOD & yet not know Him personally. It’s possible to have parents with an authentic relationship with the Lord & their children not. Jacob is a classic example of this. Throughout the narrative of Jacob’s life, up until chapter 33, Jacob always referred to the Lord as the GOD of Abraham & the GOD of Isaac, but never as his own GOD.
