The Sower, Seed, & Soils

Have you noticed that there are many different responses to the same message? Some shout, some smile, some sleep, some shed tears, some stare intently, some get offended. Some repent, some reject, some resist, and some receive. Some enjoy, some are entertained, & some endure. My point is this—The responses to the same message vary greatly & the reason for that is the condition of the heart.

On this occasion, the Lord Jesus used an agricultural illustration in one of His parables, revealing what happens when the Gospel is shared. This parable is very helpful for all believers to understand as we labor in the Lord’s work, whether preaching, teaching, or evangelizing. You’ll see why as we make our way through the Scriptures.
