A Letter of Hope - Part 2

For decades Jeremiah had prophesied that GOD’s judgment was going to fall upon them if they did not repent & return to Him. Over & over, he warned that GOD would punish them with sword, famine, & captivity. GOD’s Word turned out to be right. Jeremiah knew what he was prophesying about. In the year 597 B.C. the Babylonians swooped down & attacked Jerusalem, killing many & carrying many into captivity. For those who had actually survived the attack & been carried away into exile, there seemed to be no hope. But now something remarkable happens. Jeremiah sends a letter to the captives, his first to them, which offers a promise of hope from GOD.
