There is a Sanctuary
As followers of the Lord Jesus, at some point in our Christian experience, we will be called by GOD to deliver the Truth of His Word to people who will not want to hear it or are called to take a hard stand for the Truth in some difficult situation. The message we must deliver or the stand we must take will not be popular, it will probably provoke anger, and unjust treatment, & leave us feeling as if we are standing alone in school, on the job, in society, or in our family. When we find ourselves in such a scenario, we will then be able to start identifying with the Prophet Jeremiah. For over 40 years, Jeremiah proclaimed the truth of GOD to His people, it was an unpopular message of judgment, & consequently, he suffered a great deal for His stand. As a matter of fact, Scripture reveals that Jeremiah experienced times of discouragement, depression, & desperation. Jeremiah’s life & ministry was characterized by shedding so many tears that many Bible scholars have described him as the ‘weeping prophet.’
