A Warning To False Prophets

If you recall from our last message, Jeremiah had managed to send a letter offering hope from GOD to the Jews sitting in Babylonian captivity. GOD informed the exiles that He had plans for their restoration to Judah, but it would not happen until His determined 70 years of judgment were completed. So, there was hope beyond their temporary chastening. Though the consequences of their sins would be felt for many years, GOD graciously promised to give the people an expected end, & though they did not realize it, the 70-year Exile, this severe affliction, was a part of GOD’s plans to give Judah this hope & a future.
